Harald Ofner

Interview with former Federal Minister Dr. Harald Ofner: Born in Vienna in 1932, trained as a heavy-current installation technician. School-leaving certificate in second-chance education. Studied law (Doctor of Law 1958). From 1965: Lawyer. 1974 - 1976: Deputy Provincial Party Chairman of FPÖ Lower Austria. 1975 - 1979: First FPÖ Deputy-Mayor of the city of Mödling. 1976 - 1989: Provincial Party Chairman of FPÖ Lower Austria. 1979 - 1983: FPÖ Municipal Council of the City of Mödling. FPÖ Member of the National Council. 1980 - 1983: Deputy Chairman of FPÖ Parliamentary Fraction. 1983 - 1987: Federal Minister of Justice in the First Red-Blue Coalition of the Second Republic. 1984 - 1988: Deputy Federal Party Chairman of the FPÖ. From 1985: FPÖ Municipal Council of the City of Mödling. 1986 - 2002: FPÖ Member of the National Council. From 2002: still working as a lawyer. For many years president of the “League of Friends in South Tyrol” and Board member of the “Bergisel Alliance”.
