Professional Communication, Body Language and Impactful Speeches

On October 11, 2025, the Junge Akademie Steiermark launched Module 1 in Semriach. The goal of the two-day seminar was to optimize participants’ personal presence in political and social contexts. The focus was on professional communication, the strategic use of body language, and the design and delivery of impactful public speeches — all aimed at sustainably enhancing individual credibility and persuasiveness.

The first part of the module centered on developing a personal strengths and potential profile. This process helped participants reflect authentically on their personal impact and mobilize their individual resources for public appearances. The seminar also addressed the fundamentals of human communication, particularly the power of nonverbal communication.

To conclude the first day, Philipp Könighofer, Member of the Styrian Provincial Parliament (FPÖ), visited the young participants. During an informal fireside talk, they had the opportunity to ask questions about his political experience and work in the regional parliament.

The second day of the seminar likewise combined conceptual theory sessions with individual profile development phases and practice-oriented exercises.
