The Art of Language & Rhetoric for Political Impact
Module III of the Women's Academy
The third module of the Women's Academy took place on September 19 and 20, 2025, in Salzburg. Entitled “Targeted Use of Communication Skills – The Art of Language & Rhetoric for Political Impact,” the module focused on linguistic precision, rhetorical impact, and storytelling.
The participants explored the significance of linguistic images and metaphors, reflected on the impact of word choice, sentence structure, and intonation, and practiced the targeted use of voice and intonation. In addition, psychological aspects of language, argumentation techniques, and strategies for de-escalation in political discussions were addressed. The role of nonverbal communication and the use of storytelling as a tool of persuasion were also explored in depth.
