Conversation techniques and dealing professionally with conflicts

On September 12 and 13, 2025, the fifth module of the Young Academy took place in Linz. Entitled “Political Communication II,” it focused on practical interaction with citizens. The aim was to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of typical communication situations in everyday political life and to strengthen their conversation skills.

Topics covered included strategies for respectful exchanges with citizens, conducting citizen stands and door-to-door visits, and conveying positive messages in short conversations, conversation techniques, and conversation starters. In addition, methods for dealing professionally with conflicts, aggression, and provocations were developed to remain capable of acting even in challenging situations.

The program also included book presentations by the participants and a discussion with film director Werner Neubauer about his film on South Tyrol.
