70 years of the State Treaty
Commemorative evening at Palais Epstein
On May 15, 2025, the Freiheitliche Bildungsinstitut, the Freiheitliche Akademie Wien and the Freiheitliche Parlamentsklub hosted a commemorative event at Palais Epstein to mark the 70th anniversary of the Austrian State Treaty. The historic location provided the perfect setting for an evening dedicated to sovereignty, personal responsibility and Austria's freedom.
The opening by KO LAbg. Maximilian Krauss, MA and the welcome by the First President of the National Council Dr. Walter Rosenkranz underlined the liberal attitude towards the historic achievement of the State Treaty of 1955 – as the foundation for an independent and self-determined Austria. With a profound historical and political approach, former university professor Dr. Christian Neschwara and publicist Andreas Mölzer shed light on the legal background, the political significance and the current challenges of neutrality in their presentations. Dr. Axel Kassegger, President of the Freiheitliches Bildungsinstitut, rounded off the official part of the event with closing remarks.
The subsequent buffet provided an opportunity for personal exchange – based on the shared awareness that freedom, independence and national identity are not only historical achievements, but also a lasting political obligation.
